HC Deb 03 July 1905 vol 148 cc743-4
MR. JOHN O'DONNELL (Mayo, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a notice to quit has been served on Mr. Fahy, a draper in the town of Ballinrobe, county Mayo, who has been in possession of these premises for over twenty years, has paid large sums of money for rent and repairs, and owes no arrears whatever, and is prepared to purchase the whole place; and, if so, whether, in view of similar cases, he will facilitate the passing of the Town Tenants Bill into Law.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I have no knowledge of the matters referred to in the first part of the Question. I cannot undertake to give facilities for the passage of the Bill.
