HC Deb 24 February 1905 vol 141 c1215
MR. SYDNEY BUXTON (Tower Hamlets, Poplar)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies what was the number of whites employed in goldmining operations in the Transvaal in January, 1905.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.) The figures asked for have not yet been received, but Lord Milner has informed me that the further increase of white workmen in the Witwatersrand mines in the month of January is officially returned as 527.
