HC Deb 21 February 1905 vol 141 cc772-3
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India are yet in a position to provide statistics in regard to the prevalence of cancer in the respective provinces.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)

Medical officers in India are now required to record every case of cancer coming under their observation and to send a copy of the record to the Cancer Research Fund. The reports of the fund will show the prevalence of the disease in the different provinces, so far as this can be ascertained from the data thus collected.
