HC Deb 10 August 1905 vol 151 c936
MR. NOLAN (Louth, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the Drogheda Corporation has recently applied to the Local Government Board for instructions as to the conditions under which it will be permitted to sell its agricultural landed property to the tenants under the Act of 1903; and whether he can state the reply given by the Board.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) Yes, Sir. The corporation were informed that the Board would consider any such proposal, provided that the purchase money invested in trustee securities would yield to the ratepayers an income substantially equivalent to the net income derived from the lands.
