HC Deb 09 August 1905 vol 151 cc790-1
MR. WEIR (ROSS and Cromarty)

To ask the Lord-Advocate whether he is aware that it is the practice of game-keepers on the Mackintosh Estates, Inverness-shire, to lay down poisoned eggs in the early spring for the purpose of killing birds, cats, and dogs; and whether, in the interest of public safety he will take such steps as may be necessary to stop this practice.

(Answered by Mr. Scott Dickson.) I am informed that poisoned eggs have been laid down in outlying parts of the estate for the destruction of vermin, and the matter is engaging my attention.
