§ MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what was the date of the meeting and the number of National Education Commissioners present when the new rules with reference to corporal punishment in national schools were drafted and directed to be issued.
(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The date was December 6th, 1904. Fourteen Commissioners were present out of a possible seventeen.
