HC Deb 01 August 1905 vol 150 cc1162-3
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that much inconvenience is experienced in the Strathcarron district, Ross-shire, on account of insufficient facilities for the posting of letters; and will he arrange for the erection of one or two pillar-boxes in the district, preferably on the north side of the river.

THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Lord STANLEY, Lancashire, Westhoughton)

Since I had notice of the hon. Member's Question I have received through him a copy of a second memorial from there idents of Strathcarron with a request that I will have further inquiry made. I shall be pleased to do so and will communicate the result to the hon. Member; although I do not anticipate that I shall be able to depart from my previous decision.
