HC Deb 19 April 1905 vol 145 cc580-1
MR. T. M. HEALY

TO ask the Secretary to the Treasury if his attention has been called to the regulations of the Civil Service Commissioners, dated March † See page 291 21st, 1905, for an examination for a second-class clerk having three years experience in a solicitor's office, who will be required to serve in the first instance in the Quit Rent Office, Dublin; and if he would state why any examination for such a post should take place in London, seeing that Irish legal experience would appear to be essential.

(Answered by Mr. Victor Cavendish.) I understand that the examination referred to in the hon. and learned Member's Question will be held both in London and in Dublin.
