I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can supply any explanation of a transaction mentioned in the Comptroller-General's Report that for land compulsorily acquired in Ireland the owner claimed £8,000, was awarded £2,040, while on behalf of the War Office the fair and reasonable value was placed at £30.
