§ MR. P. A. MCHUGH (Leitrim, N.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what were the amounts paid to Irish national teachers in personal salaries in the financial year ended 31st March, 1900, and in the financial year ended 31st March, 1901.
(Answered by Mr. Atkinson.) The total amount of State aid to the teaching staff in national schools in the financial year ended 31st March, 1900, was £1,139,896, and in the year ended 31st March, 1901,.£1,135,962.
