HC Deb 13 April 1905 vol 145 cc42-3
MR. REDDY (King's County, Birr)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been directed to the decision in the case of Mrs. Donnelly, Knock Hill, Kilcormac, King's County, heard at the last November sittings of the Land Court in Birr; and whether, seeing that Mrs. Donnelly and her family had expended. £370 on drainage and other improvements, he can say on what grounds the Land Commission reduced the rent by only £2 5s.

(Answered by Mr. Atkinson.) In fixing the judicial rent in this case, allowance was made by the Sub-Commission for all improvements on the holding proved to have been made by the tenant. If either party is aggrieved by the order of the Sub-Commission, he is at liberty to apply to have the case re-heard in the prescribed manner.
