HC Deb 06 April 1905 vol 144 c629
MR. CROOKS (Woolwich)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that a number of persons engaged in those entertainments called sketches have recently been thrown out of employment consequent upon the action of the Theatrical Managers Association; and, if so, whether he will facilitate the introduction of legislation designed to remove the restrictions and conflicting enactments upon the subject.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Akers-Douglas.) I have no official information on this subject. I regret to say that I cannot recommend that facilities should be given for legislation of the kind suggested.
