§ MR. J. F. HOPE (Sheffield, Brightside)To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty if he can say approximately when the tenders for the balance of the armour required for the ships of last year's programme will be issued.
(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) Tenders for barbette and conning tower armour for H.M.S. "Achilles," "Cochrane," "Natal," and "Warrior," were issued on the 17th May. It is expected that tenders for the remaining portions of the armour for the ships of last year's programme will be invited in June.
