HC Deb 19 May 1904 vol 135 c345
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will consider the advisability of giving instructions to the Foreign Office Department to write to the United States Government for the particulars of the various steps the American exchanges have taken in cooperation with the United States Government in order to make future corners in cotton almost impossible; and whether he will cause the information to be laid before the House.

(Answered by Mr. A. J. Balfour.) I am afraid I can add nothing to the Answer which I gave on 11th May.†
