HC Deb 19 May 1904 vol 135 c344
MR. FLYNN: (Cork County, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the tenants on the estate of Mr. Samuel Wallis Adams, near Millstreet, county Cork, have declined the landlord's offer to sell at 21½ years purchase of first-term rents and 24½ of second-term, and that one tenant, Jeremiah O'Connor, holding two evicted farms, has expressed his desire to purchase at the landlord's terms; and whether, in view of the fact that town park holdings at Millstreet were sold in March last at 20 years purchase on the valuation of the Purchase Commissioner, the Estates Commissioners have power to advance the amount, representing 24½ years purchase, to this individual tenant.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) No application is before the Estates Commissioners in respect to this estate, nor have they received any application for reinstatement for evicted tenants on the estate.
