§ (Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) It is impossible to fix the act al military expenditure in all cases, as in some instances it has not been published. Moreover, in some cases the Naval Budgets make provision for certain items, such as coast fortifications, which are of a military nature. Again, expenditure regarding pensions is not shown in some of the Military Budgets. The following table gives the information available, but its accuracy cannot be guaranteed:—
