HC Deb 02 May 1904 vol 134 cc102-3
MR. MACONOCHIE (Aberdeenshire, E.)

I beg to ask the Civil Lord of the Admiralty if he can now say if it is intended to place a Naval Reserve battery at Fraserburgh, Scotland.

The CIVIL LORD of the ADMIRALTY (Mr. ARTHUR LEE,) Hampshire, Fareham

The establishment of a Royal Naval Reserve battery at Fraserburgh depends on whether the fishermen in the neighbourhood come forward in sufficient numbers to justify the expense of erecting one. A final decision has not yet been arrived at as the requisite number of eligible men have not come forward up to the present.
