HC Deb 02 May 1904 vol 134 cc95-7
MR. YERBURGH (Chester)

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether, in view of the fact that the Admiralty would not have sent the "Centurion" to there were no General Annual Licensing Meetings outside London.

China if they did not consider her fit to go into action, the efficiency of the gun sights of H.M.S. "Centurion" was certified by the officers of H.M.S. "Excellent;" and, if not, what were the reasons that led the Admiralty to suppose that the "Centurion" was fit to go into action.

(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) I have nothing to add to my reply to the hon. Member for King's Lynn of 18th February last,† to which I must refer my hon. friend.
