To ask the Secretary for Scotland, having regard to the fact that 565 scholars in public schools in Scotland received instruction in household economy during the year 1903, will he state whether any, and, if any, how many were taught in schools in the Highland crofting counties.

(Answered by Mr. A. Graham Murray.) Yes, forty-three of the children were in schools in the crofting counties.
