HC Deb 18 March 1904 vol 132 cc52-3
SIR JOHN ROLLESTON (Leicester)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that the cash-on-delivery system is declared to be opposed to the wishes and interests of a large class of retail traders as expressed by resolutions of trade associations; and whether, before proceeding farther, he will submit the matter to discussion in the House of Commons.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) I regret that I am not in a position at present to add anything to the Answer which I gave on the 15th instant to the Question asked by the hon. Member on that date respecting the introduction of a system of cash-on-delivery.†
