To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he can state the number of, and offices wherein senior assistant clerks, abstractor class, have been promoted to positions other than that of second division clerks (with the usual certificate from the Civil Service Commissioners), together with the minimum and maximum salary, and annual increment in each case.

The numbers are—Admiralty three, Colonial Office four, Customs five, Board of Education one, Home Office two, Inland Revenue two, Patent Office five, Post Office five, Prisons Department (England) five, Reformatories Office (England) one, Treasury one, Office of Woods one.
