To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the British Central African Administration receive a commission on every native recruited for employment in the Transvaal, and, if so, what is the amount.

(Answered by Earl Ferry.) No, Sir. The 10s. fee alluded to in Major Pearce's telegram of 25th March, 1903 (Africa, No. 2, 1903, p. 2), has never been enforced, and the Administration has received no money on account of recruitments for South Africa.
