To ask the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the advisability of charging porterage, in the case of telegrams which are carried by post office messengers more than three miles, from the end of the three mile limit and not from the telegraph office.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) I have recently considered this matter, but I regret that I am not in a position to recommend the sacrifice of revenue which must be entailed by the alteration suggested by the hon. Member.
