HC Deb 10 March 1904 vol 131 c758
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of his reply to a Question in 1901† that the Department of Agriculture in Ireland was considering the question of the fisheries in the district of Ballyvaughan, Clare, with a view to their development, he can now say if anything in this direction has been done or is about to be done.

MR. WYNDHAM

The Department is in correspondence with the county council on the subject of the provision of landing facilities for the fishermen at Ballaghaline. It has offered to make a contribution towards the cost of the necessary works. The council has not yet accepted the offer.
