HC Deb 03 March 1904 vol 131 c67
MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, whether he is aware that the Cloonkeen Parish Committee of the Congested Districts Board hold their meetings on a Sunday, and at a time when Protestant clergymen who are members of the Committee are unable to attend; and will he give instructions for these meetings to be held at a time when persons are not engaged in religious worship?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOE IRELAND (Mr. WYNDHAM,) Dover

The time of holding these meetings is left to the discretion of the Committee, I am not aware that inconvenience, as alleged, is caused to members of the Committee, but I will cause my hon. friend's suggestion to be brought under the notice of the Committee.
