HC Deb 27 June 1904 vol 136 c1260
MR. J. P. FARRELL (Longford, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether it is proposed to put Findlater's Act into operation in the Edgeworthstown police district, so as to prevent licensed traders being robbed by the collection of their bottles by unlicensed persons.

MR. WYNDHAM

The Act is already operative throughout Ireland. If there are any general dealers in Edgeworthstown, who carry on business without being licensed, they will be proceeded against. But no applications for licences have been made, and no infringement of the provisions of the Act has yet come under the observation of the local police.
