HC Deb 23 June 1904 vol 136 c1010
MR. COGHILL

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will give a day, before the end of the present session, for the discussion of the principles on which the Redistribution of Seats Hill of next session is to be founded.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

My experience is that the business of the current session is quite enough for the time of the session. I am unwilling to introduce the addition my hon. friend thinks appropriate or necessary, and he will forgive me if I cannot accede to his request.

MR. COGHILL

Might I ask the right hon. Gentleman if I am to gather that the Government have no intention whatever of introducing such a Bill during the present Parliament.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I am not aware that any phrase or part of a phrase I may have used would give my hon. friend any foundation for that inference.
