HC Deb 23 June 1904 vol 136 c976
MR. MOON

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs how the Estimate of £7,000 for the delimitation of Anglo-German boundary east and west of Lake Victoria is arrived at; and why the amount is seven times that voted last year.

(Answered by Earl Percy)Only £499 15s. 8d. was charged to the Vote in 1903–4. The Estimate of £7,000 is based on the expenditure anticipated during 1904–5, and represents charges for the salaries of the Commissioner and his assistant, and for porters and other means of transport, besides incidental expenses.
