To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what person or persons receive the £2,500 taken for the collection of commercial intelligence.

(Answered by Earl Percy.)The amount set down for this purpose in the Estimates, under Sub-head K of the Diplomatic and Consular Vote, is for the salaries and office and travelling expenses of the British Commercial Agents at Moscow, Zurich, Chicago, Guatemala, and Vladivostok. The appointments are experimental.
