HC Deb 20 June 1904 vol 136 cc464-5
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he has yet been able to arrange for a daily mail service between Ullapool and Achiltibuie between the months of May and October.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) I have 'Considered the question of affording a daily service between Ullapool and Achiltibuie during six months in the year, instead of three months, as desired by the hon. Member, but I regret to find that owing to the comparatively high cost of the post already, I should not be justified in incurring the additional expense which would be involved.
