HC Deb 16 June 1904 vol 136 c283
MR. HUGH LAW (Donegal, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the attention of the Fisheries Branch of the Department of Agriculture has been drawn to the dangers to those boats which are engaged upon the salmon fishery in the Rosses, county Donegal, consequent upon the inshore course taken by coasting steamers; and whether any steps have been taken to prevent the occurrence of collisions and loss of life and property.

MR. WYNDHAM

Yes, Sir. The Department has taken all the steps in its power, by the issue of placards and advertisements, to warn the masters of coasting vessels against the dangers referred to.
