§ MR. NORMANI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the British lease of Wei-hai-wei would determine immediately upon the occupation of Port Arthur by any other Power than Russia.
§ EARL PERCYBy the Convention of 1st July, 1898, China agreed to lease to Great Britain Wei-hai-wei and its adjacent waters "for so long a period as Port Arthur shall remain in the occupation of Russia."
