§ MR. ALFRED DAVIES () Carmarthen BoroughsTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will inform the House of the number of refused victuallers' beerhouse, and other licences, with the ground of refusal, respectively for 1901 and 1902.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Akers-Douglas.) The only information in my possession in regard to refusals to renew licences in past years is contained in Returns which have from time to time been laid before Parliament. No such Return was made for the year 1901, and in 1902 there was no general annual licensing meeting outside London.
