HC Deb 07 June 1904 vol 135 c922
MR. HEMPHILL (Tyrone, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the delay in introducing electric lighting in the Four Courts, Dublin; and, if so, whether he will take steps to expedite the action of the Board of Works in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Victor Cavendish.) The question of lighting the Four Courts and other public offices in Dublin by electricity is under consideration; but, until negotiations now proceeding with the Dublin Corporation as to the cost of current are concluded, it is not possible to decide whether the expense of the change will be justified.
