HC Deb 06 June 1904 vol 135 c781
MR. CULLINAN (Tipperary, S.)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether, in the scheme decided on for telephonic connections with Tipperary and Clonmel, he will have Cahir, which is situated midway, included.

(Answered by Lord Stanely.) Cahir is situated in the Clonmel exchange area. The National Telephone Company have an exchange at Clonmel, and have been in correspondence with the company on the question of the connection of Clonmel with the telephone trunk system, and the establishment of an exchange at Cahir in communication with that system through Clonmel. The company state that they will open in exchange at Cahir provided sufficient support is forthcoming, and that they are now making inquiry on this subject.
