To ask the Secretary for Scotland with reference to the Report of the Departmental Committee on Poor Law Medical Relief, what steps the Local Government Board intend to take with a view to the improvement of the accommodation for the sick poor in poorhouses, especially as regards the prevention of overcrowding in the sick wards.

To ask the Secretary for Scotland what steps the Local Government Board intend to take with a view to satisfy themselves that sick inmates of poorhouses are provided with sufficient moans of escape in the event of an outbreak of fire, the need for which has been pointed out by the Departmental Committee on Poor Law Medical Relief.
