CATHCART WASON (Orkney and Shetland)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if the precedence taken away from the Chief Justice of New Zealand was taken away by an Act of the New Zealand Legislature, or at the request of the Prime Minister of that Colony; if taken away at the request of the Prime Minister what reasons were submitted warranting such an alteration in long established precedent.
