SCHWANN (Manchester, N.)To ask the President of the Local Government Board if he has received the special report which he promised to have made into the insanitary condition of Sandy, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire; what is the result with regard to the frequent cases of dangerous infectious diseases; and what means does he propose to take to have a remedy applied by the local authority.
(Answered by Mr. Waiter Long.) I have asked for a special report from the medical officer of health as to the occurrence of erysipelas and diphtheria in this district during the present year, but I have not at present received it. I will not lose sight of the matter.
