MACVEAGH (Down, S.)I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state how many gallons of patent spirits distilled in England were blended with Scotch whiskey and bottled in bond under Government supervision for exportation to the Colonies and other countries during the last financial year; and 770 whether the Select Committee of 1890 and 1891 found that such chemically pure spirits distilled in England might be blended with Scotch whiskey and sold as such.
