I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the † See page 318 Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state if Dr. Starkie, the Resident Commissioner of National Education in Ireland, was authorised to accompany Messrs. Dale and Stevens on their visits to Irish intermediate schools.

Dr. Starkie is one of the Commissioners of Intermediate Education. He accompanied Messrs. Dale and Stevens at their request.
