I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the assent of the Crown to the Chinese Exclusion Bill, to which the Governor of Cape Colony reserved his assent for the consideration of the Crown, while that assent was given to all other measures passed by the Cape Parliament, has yet been given; and, if not, what is the reason for the delay in this formality.
