HC Deb 29 February 1904 vol 130 c1252

The following Question appeared on the Paper, but Mr. NANNETTI declined to put it as it had been so altered at the Table as to destroy its meaning:

Mr. NANNETTI

To ask the Postmaster-General if his attention has been drawn to the Fourth Report of the Public Accounts Committee on the Post Office Vote in which the Committee stated with reference to the Corcoran defalcations that the Committee were not satisfied from the evidence before them that the fine of £10 was adequate to the occasion; and, if so, whether, considering the punishment meted out to subordinate officers, he intends to take any steps in view of this Report."
