HC Deb 25 February 1904 vol 130 cc990-1
MR. P. A. McHUGH (Leitrim, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the fact that the Vice-Chancellor of the Chancery Court in Ireland has recently retired and that his place has been filled by the transfer of Mr. Justice Barton from the King's Bench Division, he will say whether any saving has been thus effected, and, if so, how much; and whether the Government intend to fill up the vacancy.

MR. WYNDHAM

The annual saving effected by the transfer of Mr. Justice Barton will amount to £867. It is not proposed to fill the vacancy in the Judgeship of the King's Bench Division.
