I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he can state the average amount of the Board of Trade Vote for the last ten years, and also give the average approximate amount spent annually in Ireland; also whether there is a separate branch for Irish business; or whether the accounts and the returns of exports and imports are amalgamated.

(Answered by Mr. Victor Cavendish.) The average annual amount of the Vote for the Board of Trade and subordinate Departments for the last ten years was £187,299. There is no separate account of the sums expended in Ireland, and no separate branch for Irish business.
