HC Deb 16 February 1904 vol 129 c1480
SIR THOMAS ESMONDE (Wexford, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will consent to the repeal of Section 6 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act of 1902, with a view to the settlement of the difficulty which has arisen in Ireland regarding the appointment of dispensary doctors.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The necessity for this section of the Act was explained by me in the Committee Stage of the Measure on the 12th December, 1902. I cannot for the reasons then stated agree to the repeal of the section.
