HC Deb 04 February 1904 vol 129 c355
MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to an attack made upon the private residence of a Mr. Pearson, Palace Street, Drogheda, on the 22nd and 24th of January last, and to the fact that stones were thrown at the house and doors smashed; and, if so, if he can say what action has been taken in the matter.

MR. WYNDHAM

NO attack was made on this gentleman's house on the dates mentioned. But on the 14th January some stones are alleged to have been thrown at the house. The police are pursuing their investigations in the matter.

MR. SLOAN

Is Mr. Pearson under police protection?

MR. WYNDHAM

I must ask for notice of that.
