JOSEPH DEVLIN (Kilkenny, N.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether complaints have been made to the Department of Agriculture as to the poaching of trout in Ballinahinch (county Down) River and its tributaries; if so, whether he will cause a return to be made of the number of convictions for this offence obtained by the Royal Irish Constabulary (flax water cases excluded); and whether he will direct the Royal Irish Constabulary to assist the Anglers' Association employees in the district in the future to suppress illegal practices.
