I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether the Government propose to make any, and what, alterations in the position and duties of the Judge Advocate-General and of his Department, and when such alterations are to take effect; and whether their proposed alterations meet with the approval of the present holder of the office; and by whom are the legal duties in respect to Courts-martial discharged by the late Sir John Scott now performed.
