HC Deb 25 April 1904 vol 133 c1036
MR. EUGENE WASON (Clackmannan and Kinross)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he will lay upon the Table at an early date the opinions and reasons recorded under Section 23 of the Act of 1858 by two members of the Council of India (in June last) as dissents from the proposals then being considered to charge the revenues of India with a considerable portion of I he cost of the British garrison in South Africa.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) I must refer the hon. Member to my reply to a similar Question on 24th March†, which explains the reasons why I do not propose to lay Papers on this subject.
