HC Deb 19 April 1904 vol 133 c532
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland, having regard to the fact that H.M.S. "Seamew," "Speedwell," and "Cockchafer" have not been engaged on sea police duty during the present year, will he state what vessels have been directed to patrol the areas which came within the patrol of these vessels last year.

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. A. GRAHAM MURRAY,) Buteshire

As previously stated none of the vessels named by the hon. Member have been engaged on sea police duty for the Fishery Board during the present year, but I am informed by the Admiralty that H.M.S. "Speedwell," "Cockchafer," and "Redwing" were all employed at various times for the protection of Scotch Fisheries during 1903. The "Margaret" and the "Cockchafer" are carrying out this duty at the present moment.
